Frederica McComb was nominated for co-option by Cllr. Hamilton, seconded by Cllr. Hawman. Passed unanimously. An Acceptance of Office and declaration of interests form were completed. Potential candidates to fill the final vacancy were discussed and agreed in principle.

i. Signs to encourage considerate and safe parking near The Gun will be erected. ii. Dogs on leads signs have been erected by footpaths through farmland. Additional sites for signs agreed upon.

Ongoing Actions List 

No response has been received to repeated queries about the Vehicle activated (speed) sign warranty. Formal letter to be sent registered post. CW to action.

Play Area & Village Green 

 

i. Cw to chase ROSPA inspection report if not received within 2 more weeks. ii. Small gate at former school field has been rehung. iii. A repair to the larger gate, replacing some of the hardware has been organised, with a budget limit of £200. iv. Purchases for the meadow were discussed and confirmed. CW to action.

Volunteers and Community Spending

 

C.Cllr John Riddle is unable to buy a defibrillator from the money ring fenced for this Ward unless it is a capital purchase exceeding £2,000. CW to explore alternatives.

Parish Hall 

 

A meeting will be held with Tracy Morgan of CAN (Community Action Northumberland) to discuss options for the hall. Numerous areas need repair or improvement and funding options will need to be explored.

i The National Lottery Community Fund have explained the conditions of the recent grant received. ii. The position of parked vehicles on Brandy Bank in West Woodburn are reported to be forcing pedestrians to walk on the A68. CW to write to property owners and appeal for consideration.
